Worth noting is that depending on the state you live in, A-Pillar pods can be a defectable item and are therefore illegal.
In NSW a pod gauge can be mounted on the A-pillar as long as it does not impede the drivers vision and does not sit above the point level with the top of the steering wheel.
As far as purchasing a gauge pod, try supercheap or most other auto parts places. For a VY you'd be better off getting a centre binnacle such as HSV use above the radio. Much neater and legel to boot.

Another pillar option is to get some autometer gauge cups and mount them. At the time I couldn't find a a-pillar mounting pod that fit properly, either it was too bulky or didn't line up neatly. As a pre-VY owner I don't have the binnacle option, so I mounted the cups down low on the pillar. Perfect spot as it's in line of sight but doesn't interfere.
