You can get number plater locks. They're about 15 bucks and most car dealers sell them. First saw them when I picked up my VY SS a week ago. Not sure how they work though. I'm assuming they'd be similar to the lock nuts on your wheels.

In Melton the cops and council have organised free fittment of one way screws, to stop number plate thefts.
See if you can get ur hands on some. Once in they cant be undone with a normal screw driver.

Then they may just reef them off with force. Most things only work to keep the honest people honest.

Yes. I found the best thing to avoid ....

1. Losing said plates through theft
2. Attracting unwanted attention for boys in blue
3. Attracting unwanted attention from P platers and ricers
4. Losing the ability to remain anonnymous should that be what you need

Is to sell them or hand them back in to the RTA.

I had custom plates for a few years and I now rest easy without unwanted consequences of having the bothersome custom plate :yahoo:

Depending on how anal you are about your car if you have one way screws on your plates you cant take them off to clean behind the number plates. But as already said if they want them they will just rip them off. But if you have personalised plates they are less likely to get stolen for fuel theft etc.. because they are to noticable.
