Just a question for you guys. I have a series 1 Monaro and was thinking of adding reverse parking sensors on it (as I got my hands on a bumper with the holes already cut)

Does anyone have any idea what it would be worth to get a system fitted? I have only really looked up Ebay (I know, could be a mistake?) and they go for about $40? Are these ok or should I go genuine?

About $400 fitted at a Holden dealer.

Edit: Make that $765 at a Holden dealer!

We usually charge $495 fitted.
These are the accessory genuine ones. If your bumper is drilled for the "factory" ones, they actually use different sensor heads, and I'm not sure they use the same sized hole. I think the factory ones are a bit bigger. Usually, your existing bumper is drilled out.

had so many dramas in the past, with "cheap" aftermarket items, the only kit id suggest is the Bosch 4 sensor system, which are the same ones fitted to the new holdens, fords, toyota , bmw etc.....OE recommended.

any one can fit these kits themselves, the only carful part is sending them for paint, as they arnt allowed to hit a certain temp, eg, in the oven, or they dont work well, if a thick coat of paint is on sensor face.

The kit comes with instructions, and the after sales Bosch kit, actually comes with a little LED disply, indicating distance, not just a beeping noise.

I hope this info helps.
