View Full Version : is a ls1 the same bolt pattern as a older chev

hi guys i am wondering if a ls1 bellhouseing patern is the same as a older 350 and a 307 chev i am considering doing a engine same in my landcruiser and i can get a bellhouseing to suit a chev but dont know if it will fit a ls1 any help would be great , thanks

Mate i was told the other day that all small block chev bellhousings are the same...4L60/4L65 Turbo 350/400 and powerglide.

they are different the ls1 had an extra bolt hole. though you shouldn't have to many dramas fitting. let me know how you go. i had an fj45 ute with a fuel injected holden motor. man that thing was fast with an ls1 it would be brutal. my advice though put an ls2 in it. you will like the extra torque they have.

Bolt it up. The five bolts will hold it fine.
