Just had a Twin 3in X-Force fitted up on the ute and HOLY SHIT..

The power with the old twin 2.5in dilfilpo came on nice and smooth, but now with the new Twin 3in system that has 3in highflow cats, 2 inline mufflers and dumped at the diff with 2 30degree mandrel bends you should see the ute hook up now!!! :bow::bow:

Much more crisp, louder and much more responsive and boost hits so much quicker...

I had 6 people ranging from a BMW, EVO, R32, WB Ute, VY SS Sedan and another VU SS ute give me the thumbs up to the sound and the little show i put on for them on the Logan Motorway on the way home..
Im sure they wouldve spread word about a black ute on there trip :)

Also got the coulsons seats which get trimmed on monday and should have them back at the end of the week.

My ute is no horsepower hero, i know it goes good for only 8psi (twin 2.5in back then with a limiter at 5400rpm), not as good as my mates immaculate PWR blown VT R8 thou, with big cam, head work and more psi then im running :bow:

LOL i know gavs car is horn.... so was the VX.... ;) he knows how to mix the two power/style into one... even though both of us are GENTT boys... the sound of his cars glimmer driver soudns horn at full noise.... :)

Well its about time this thread got an update...

Cant remember exactly where bouts it was up to but here is the story now..

Piston 5 shit itself a long time ago and who knows how long i was driving on 7cylinders for, but she is all brand spanking forged internally built, and on a run in tune.. Motor is running 2-3psi and has a limiter of 4500rpm for the 700-1000k's to run her in then form there on in its copping 14psi..

The Engine combo is:

- New Rear Main Seal
- Custom Grinded Isky Camshaft
- Head Bolts
- Con Rod
- Rod Bolts
- Main Bearings
- Reco LS1 heads
- Washed block and parts
- Cam Bearings
- PAC Bee Hive Valve Springs
- CP Forged Pistons 3.905x4.00x6.125
- CP Rings 1.5 3.0mm
- Modified Rods to Suit CP Pistons
- Triple Layer Metal Cosmetic Gaskets
- Balanced Engine
- AP Racing 4pot 330mm brakes
- Custom Fuel Rails
Still a bit more left but its all machining and labour invovled..

Cant wait to get the 700-1000k's up and push her to 14psi

Made 427rwhp, hit 13psi and as soon as it hit 13psi it bled back to 10psi and was still making more strong power as it was bleeding off all the way to 9-10psi..So the motor combo with the cam is the perfect choice and cant wait till it setup right That is with a 3.46 diff too !!!!!!

So new actuators with minimum of 12psi are being sent up from Martin, and an eboost2 will help control the boost..

There is no reason this combo cant get well into the 500s

Motor feels so much stronger and WAY WAY more torque then the old setup, its insane to say the least..

Went for a ride in it yesterday, 427rwhp with this motor feels a hell of a lot more power than what the original motor had even though its less. The Torque is incredible it just keeps pulling you back in the seat trying to squeeze a nugget out of ya.

They're gonna change a few things, Acuatators for more boost, E Boost2 and compression i believe, and the power should be into the 500's easily then.

After that everyone has to convince Brett to get bigger Turbos :p

Thanks guys, really starting to sit back and enjoy the ute now.. No more spending apart from a PWR Radiator going in this week that i picked up dirt cheap..

Fitted PWR Radiator today and geezus they are a thick unit..
Held just under 12L..
Only took just under an hour to fit start/finish..
Running the same size as the V8 Aussie Brutes and the temps havent been above 93d after a good strapping so far..

Gonna try hit some traffic in her and see how it goes..

Yeh mate, straight out with old and slip in the new PWR..
Didnt need to mod anything at all.. I ordered the VU V8 Aussie Brute style PWR Radiator so it would be that way..
It has kept temps VERY cool compared to before, so wanting to hit some traffic to see how it is stop/start etc..

Perfect, was on idle at 88-89d and when giving it a strap didnt see above
93d, only thing now is passanger side BOV shit itself so its no strapping around now till i sort that out :bawl:

all sorted got another BOV as the knib the vac hose pushes onto had snapped :soap:

Fitted that up all was fine then silicone hose from end tank blew off so another 2mins to retighten them and she is all sweet again :)
