I can't seem to get the roof mounted dvd screen to turn on but the dvd works on the main screen in the car. I still don't have the headphones and remote. Does anyone know if you need the remote to turn on the roof mounted screen, because pressing the on button on the roof mounted dvd, doesnt make the roof mount screen turn on, but the dvd plays on the main screen where the radio is. Has anyone had this problem???

My Calais came with two headphone sets and remote control and it works very well. The remote has more setings/buttons than my TY set at home and as such, took a bit of working out. The front consol movie goes off at approx 10kph but you can still listen to it if you want. Seems to me that you may need the remote and headphones.
I'm amazed at the clarity of the back screen and the cordless headphone sound is good too. Great bit of kit!!

Well at least you have your car, not like a whole lot of people on here who are still waiting for Holden to get off their asses!
Good luck, I'm sure you will love it.

I havent tried playing games on it. But the rear screen does has an aux input, so maybe if you can find the right connection for your game console to convert to an aux input, you may be able to play games on it.

Just speaking of games consoles, tried GT4 on PS2 through it the other day and it runs pretty sweet, i had a spare inverter laying around so i tried it all out and it didn't work to bad. Had the engine running and a/c goin, quite nice actually. Monitor isn't huge but for racing games isn't too bad. Will post some pics once i'm able too.

Yeah the screens look awesome for factory issue.
Has anyone tried to disconnect the automatic off switch for the front screen once moving over 10kmph?
Usually it is just a switch on the hand brake, but I'm guessing being a factory option Holden would have mad it more complicated.

Please explain what you did to run a PS2 game through the DVD.
Thanks

Just picked up a Calais with rear screen. All worked fine but a bit glitchy on rear screen. Then rear screen just wouldn't show the movie, just the front screen - the menu functions came up fine on the rear, but no picture. Took it to Holdens and they found a fault and fixed it under warranty. My cordless headphones however only have sound coming out of one speaker! Tried both of them and same issue. Any ideas ??

For some reason my rear screen had the brightness and contrast set lowest when I used my rear screen for the first time.
I have the opposite atm, headphones work well, but I only get sound through the left hand speakers in normal operation. Funnily its only done this since it was last left for service, worked fine when I got it.

Weird stuff!! Ok keep me posted if you solve this issue. I'd say it's a HU problem/glitch - I'll let u know how I go too.

The roof-mounted DVD in my Lumina stopped working after a warranty service (the offending staff member has since been fired). The player had power, would insert/eject discs but no picture was displayed. The problem turned out to be "found fuse connection poor. Resecured connection and test operation. Fine" All ok now.

Did you ever find the problem for this as, I tried mine today and only have sound in the left side of the ear phones
