Hi all,

Just thought I would post the results of power torque's work on my VYII SS.
I was hoping to make 300fwkw and thought that was a reasonable target, pacemakers, OTRCAI and a maffless tune later (it already had cat-back) they managed to squeeze an impressive 320fwkw, or 241rwkw out of it.
Needless to say I was pretty stoked. PT's work on the car and their service was incredible so thanks to Mark and Shaun.

Now as long as I flog my brother in laws 310kw XR6 turbo I'll be satisfied! Otherwise it's back to the workshop... :burnout:

240rwkw is becoming the norm these days with a good OTRCAI, MAFLESS and half decent exhaust. When you think about it, it's pretty impressive out of an unopened motor. Plus the usual gains in fuel economy are nice too.

That's pretty good. I am aiming for over 300KW at the fly. My SS also has a sequential LPG system fitted.

How long does an edit take to do? Do they need the car all day or is it half day job etc? And do they do them/open on Saturdays down at PT?

As far as I know they dont work saturdays.. I had to drop my car off the night before and pick it up the next arvo.
They needed it for a full day but if your just getting the edit done I think it only takes 2 - 3 hours.
Good luck with it.

They are sometimes open on Sats by appointment only.. My first tune on the SS was done on a sat, however I think leading up to chrissy etc I think they are trying to keep it to a 5 day working week :)

Good power figures :D is yours a auto or M6 mate?

Not really 320fwkw is about right for 240rwkw. With a 6 speed the usual way of converting between the two is saying fwkw = rwhp or the other way around.

what has your brothers XR6T got done to it?? just edit? edit alone should see 240-260rwkw..

If his is an auto it'll be close, if he's got a manual you should eat him up.

Most importantly, enjoy the new found power mate. It really is a great feeling when you go from stock to that sort of power level. Now just wait for that to feel slow, and so the process goes on... it happens to most of us unfortunately.. i know i was happy with 250rwkw for about 3 months, then i just had to buy more power.. now 300rwkw isn't enough... but i've decided to stop at that power level till i upgrade to my next car.. i'll save the pennies for the new car.

Now start saving for some new tyres
