Deffinately a thread or 10 on this.
But in summary its pretty fun, although over very quickly.
If you have a modded commo alreadyy then you will find them very slow and maybe a little boring as theya re just standard SS's and XR8's. They do run slick tyres so they seem very over gripped and underpowered. Still pretty fun though.

I got a ticket as a gift, I wouldn't pay for it.
5 mins of track time.

Did you drive the car or were you a passenger.
If you drove the car are they hard to drive etc as we are booked in around Dec 1

They are not hard cars to drive. Just standard SS Commodores with slicks, a rollcage and a ripshift so even the gears changes are easy. Although i wouldn't worry about this much either as you only use two of them.

A mate of mine works for the company in Melbourne. And yep they are pretty much just stock SS's and XR8's nothing special really although some people will try and say otherwise.

I drove,
The cars are pretty much stock SS's :(
But they are still a great drive with full slicks and completely stripped they are very responsive. :)
There are no mufflers. :)
They tell you to only use 3rd and 4th :(
There is traction control :(
There is an instructor with you in the car at all times :)
I don’t know how it would be possible to go to far astray.
It is fun but by the time you get into it they will tell you it's time to get out.
My solution to this was to go hard from the start
I suggest you do the same.

Couldn't agree more. Dont worry about easing your way into it like they tell you. It would be near impossible to go of the track i would think. Especially when the intructor is telling you to brake a good few hundred meters before you actually need to.

I did the V8 drive experience on Monday 20/11 at Eastern Creek, was a birthday gift. Its fun, but short. I'd call it like McDonalds racing, leaves you unsatisfied and wanting more. 10 laps would be better.
The cars are fitted with race seat and harness, roll-cage, better brakes, suspension, slicks (good grip). No Ripshift. Open exhausts for noise.
Try and get into it early. One lap is familiarisation (fairly slow) then go hard.
The in-car coaches help with racing lines, braking, throttle.
Have fun!
