View Full Version : Missing V8 6.0 litre badge on SSV under side indicators

After having a look at everyones car on here, i noticed that everyone with a SSV has a V8 6.0 litre badge under the side indicators. I didn't recall seeing these on my car, so i went and had a look at my car and didn't see them on there. I rang the dealer and told them they were missing and they have placed an order to get them in for me. Was anyone else missing these?

have you checked the under the bonnet, just to be sure? :doh:

Mine were on. After my VY II SS missing one of the rear door SS badges when I picked it up new I checked the VE....

Happens so I'm sure the dealer will sort it out for ya...

Yep they are certainly there..

Question for SSV owners, do you have the SS letters on the dials
of the instruments? I thought I saw some in a magazine photo but mine
does not have them (mines an SS)

i just discovered im missing one badge of the drivers side theres on on the pasenger side :doh:

Not missing them on mine and yep - definetly has SS on the dash.

no the silly thing is i hav a pic of my car as my background on my desktop and thats the only side the badge is on so no i dont think i would hav picked up on it.12109kms due for a service soon lol

Things happen occasionally. We had a batch of Acclaims a few months ago with Executive badges fitted.
With so many variants made, a bit hard to avoid at times.....

Well that made me go and check mine. Both badges there and have the SS on the dash

I checked the badges - all good.
I checked the dask - all good.

But, when I checked under my bonnet I found a V6 :doh:

Ah, all is okay, I found the last 2 cylinders hiding under the firewall. All 8 there now.

Took mine off with a hairdryer. Keeps the fools at work guessing and the " how come his company car has a V8 B/S "

Yip, mine has the "SS" and the "V8" on the speedo and rev counter

I had to go have a look, my SS has all its badges including the ones under the indicators
