Well said. Take it to Sonny and get him to dyno it

Im not sure how accurate this is, but most people do it this way...
307 kw @ fly = roughly 307hp @ rear wheels
307 / 1.341 = 228.9kw @ rear wheels
It usually gives a rough estimate of what the car should be running.
Note: that you also get anywhere from 2rwkw to 25rwkw between dynos etc...so at the end of the day, nothing is really that accurate!

I'm no guru either but if you happen to have an auto, Power Torque tell me it sucks a bucketload of power too... From what I've heard the above describes an approx for the manual version.

That's interesting because I've read some VE's getting as high as 228rwkw for a 270fwkw engine....

307 kw @ fly = 307 x 110% hp @ rear wheels.
ie some where around 330 to 340 hp.
Don't know about new autos but there is approximately 12 to 15 hp difference between A4 and M6.

Usually dont you just delete 20 - 25% from the fwkw figure to find the rough rwkw's? :bounce:

Depending if it is a M6 or Auto?
It would be best for you throw it on the dyno and let us all know what the rwkw figures are :)
Guessing if it is a M6, I would be going with around 240ish rwkw.

david I was told you lose 70 % off fly wheel to wheels, my old VX clubby was 178 rwkw b4 dyno at hpf after edit came out 214 rwkw, hope this helps

You could speculate figures all day long and still be wrong, best bet is to go to a reputable dyno and try it (sonny's has already been mentioned) I'm sure any of the sponsors with a dyno would be happy to find out for you :D
