Replacing front seats..(custom/aftermarket)

I would like to change my interior and have found that leather culsons etc are quite expensive, has anyone put in any aftermarket seats eg autotechnic (I think their called) or something faily similar to the Vy seat runners.I am looking for something a bit more supportive preferably leather but not essential.

A competant trimmer can re trim your seats to look like coulsons. I got the full leather kit including instalation for that and that included the rear seats, door cards, and the center console. the extra padding required could run more than 500 including them making the headrests.

The leather is available from blackmans to suit coulsons. The trimmer just has to stuff it.

Would look alot better than Aftermarket I would Think.

one thing you might not know is if you put aftermarket seats your sitting height will be raised as much as an inch I tried and I am over 6 feet tall and I could not drive properly my advice talk to at nvu com au and will be able to hook you up with some seats

The other problem with aftermarket seats is they won't have air bags, so unless you have a ute (no air bags) you won't be able to fit without setting off airbag dash warning light, and is probably not legal - must have air bags if factory fitted.

I see Mitch has mad a full bracket assembly to run aftermarket seats before ! he has been there done that and they worked well !! so he would be the man to catch up with . as for time or cost it wouldnt come cheap ? and like others are saying you loose all the luxury

Might just have to pick up a full VY or VZ leather interior (somewhere,somehow) or take Clints when hes not looking.:nyuk:
