Anybody got serious with their Holden dealer about Captiva Prices.

We are buying a Silver (metallic paint) SX with side curtain airbags (Option)
and cant get an onroad figure under 40K.

Id be interested to see if anybody has squeezed their dealer down for a good deal.
Its bloody hard with such a limited choice in the bush. You city peole get all the luck. :)

What are you guys paying?

Sounds like they're taking you for a ride.
Holden website says $37,250 with side airbags. For a car that is supposedly cheap to make, they should be able to chop the ass out of the price. Even with on-road costs it shouldn't be much more than $39,000. Just start walking out the door and wait for them to tackle you lol

For the Captiva SX 5 seater, you're looking at $35,990 plus $900 for the airbags and another $360 for metallic paint. If you can get all on roads for $1750 (including rego, stamp duty and dealer delivery) I'll give you a medal.

Signed today for a CX with Tow pack and Tinted windows for 40,500 on road drive away.

SX with the extra Airbags are nil on the ground so it was going to be a Feb delivery. As it tunred out we got a much better deal ayway by going the next model up with the CX.

The only 'squeezing' going on will be the salesman trying to squeeze into the thing so you can drive it away you big prick :stick:

Well done mate sounds like a good deal

not bad at all, the bloody Adventra SX cost more then that just on 2 years ago, although the Captivas been a cheaper car since its launch - I think theyve learnt.

I'm interested to see how it handles when towing, especially being a predominately FWD car with rear wheel driving kicking in when it senses its required. People whinge and rant about the Adventra but at the end of the weekend when its successfully towed a 2000 kg boat for several hours you know you chose the right car, when they announced most of the Adventra running gear had made its way to the Captiva it really got my interest, and had we known Holden was planning to go this way we probbaly wouldve held off the 2 years to jump on the "ive got a big AWD FWD in the city" like the Terry owners ... and killed the VS tranny in the process!

Congrats on the purchase, I'm interested to hear your feedback when you get it!

also whats tow pack did you get ... 1200kg or the 2000kg??

Look forward to your review on this later down the track HRT.
We have pretty well narrowed it down to one of these or a
Ford Territory, still not sure yet.

Tow bar package was purchased for towing only things like the 6x4 trailer to the tip etc so I wont be towing any mobile home type caravans up North just yet.

Tow pack, I believe is only a one choice option. It is rated at 750kg unbraked, or 2000kg braked.
