Just curious....
How do the TT kits go with the Autos?
I've never driven a turbo'd AUTO of any kind, and 'assumed' they would be pretty average....?
How would the stock auto in an SS handle the extra power/torque (if at all...)?
Surely it would have a lot to do with the tune no? The last thing you would want as the car starts boosting is for the trans to kick back a gear etc...

Ive never experienced the joys of an auto GenTT but with my past auto TT (Nissan) cars ive always found take offs to be better..............always on boost. You do loose power and top end with an auto but im sure that this shouldnt be a problem with the setup your looking (GenTT).
Anyways just my worthless 2c.

i will let you know when i get mine back next week mate.
I heard last week that a guy got the Gen TT kit put on a standard trans and he stuffed it within a week.
I have had work done on my trans that can handle up to 600hp at the fly wheel so i will keep you posted.

Doughy's car is auto, Gareth's car was auto, much of the development was done on auto cars.
Go visit the boys and I'm sure they'll show you how good they can be.
I know I wouldn't want one on a stock auto box though - unless I had the beans aside for a rebuild at a later date.
I believe REDVYIISS is running a (single) turbo with a stock auto, and he does a fair few kms, he might comment on how it's holding up.

As expected it's (insert crow call here). It lasted 6 runs down the quarter (11.1 @ 124) and 17,000 km, though I've been able to baby it and get another 2,000 km out of it!
I pick it up tomorrow with its new built box, I can't wait.
