no wonder with some of the deals on offer on the vz runouts and the rush to be the first kid on the block with a "E" series hsv in the driveway, with a number of vz's left next month should also see good numbers

Fantastic, so we can expect a long future ahead for HSV? Im guessing so, I never really had any doubts about it.

Does anyone know how FPV are going? I have to admit, althought im more of a HSV bloke I really do like the BA and BF FPVs...

Totally agree .. the FPVs are sweet cars and its good to have both HSV and FPV so they can keep the bar being raised.

End result being great cars for us :yahoo:

Selling VZ HSV sedans is actually very hard work for the sales guys, sitting as they are right next to the VE.
Much easier selling the VE SS or the E series HSV's.

Jesus Toyota have almost doubled Ford & Holden's sales. They are killing the pig! Falcon aint selling too bad at only 1800 units less than VE considering its now a 4 year old style vs brand new VE and in a diminishing market.

SALES of new cars and trucks dipped marginally in November, while Toyota has gained a further lead over Holden and Ford, according to official figures released today.

In its VFACTS bulletin the Federal Chamber of Automotive Industries (FCAI) said 83,297 new vehicles were retailed in Australia last month, down by 0.3 per cent on the 83,538 sold in November last year.

The result took demand on a year-to-date basis to 885,603 vehicles, down 2.6 per cent or 23,389 vehicles on the same period in 2005.

Toyota was the top selling company in November with 20,247 vehicles ahead of 12,866 for Holden and 9201 for Ford.

That stretched Toyota's overall lead to more than 60,000 units, assuring the company of market leadership in 2006.

Toyota has enjoyed a surge in popularity of medium to small cars given higher petrol costs, with its Corolla and Echo some of the nation's most popular cars.

Meanwhile, sales of big cars like Holden's Commodore and Ford's Falcon has been weighed down by petrol prices.

You've gotta remember that Toyota have more cars on the range than Holden.. Commodore has been the best selling passenger vehicle since the VE has been released.
It's all in the wheels mag

Something else of note from the Australian numbers.

I think last month Camery was high up (3000+) and this month its dropped.
It would appear Aurion has canablised Camery sales this month and hasn't made an impression on VE or BF2.

Ummmmmm petrol price is very reasonable now.........stop harping on about the same stuff. Geee its like a broken record.

Have you noticed the top selling toyotas are all fleet cars? These fleet cars typically dont retun much $$$$$$$, might explain toyota's lower profit last year (far lower than both holden and ford).

Sales of HSV's and top line holdens would return far more $$$$$$$ to Holden.

New E-series Continues To Deliver Records For HSV

Holden Special Vehicles
10 January 2007
www.hsv.com.au

Holden Special Vehicles (HSV) has set a new benchmark and another all time record sales result in December, with 519 retail deliveries across its Australian and New Zealand dealer network.

The highest ever sales month in the history of the high performance car company, means in Australia HSV delivered 3123 vehicles in 2006, with the New Zealand result representing 543 retail deliveries – 3666 in total across the two markets.

“This is a particularly pleasing result given the doom and gloom being sprouted in certain quarters about the state of the local car industry and large car market in general”, Managing Director of HSV Mr Phil Harding said.

“This excellent finish to 2006 proves the Australian and New Zealand motoring public is excited about the range of luxury and performance cars our company is manufacturing”.

Phil Harding said Western Australia, Queensland and Victoria all posted individual record monthly results in December.

“We aim to continue strong sales into 2007 as well as finalise export opportunities for the E series”, he said.

This year will also see HSV bring to the market the luxurious long wheel based performance vehicle that debuted at the Sydney International Motor Show – the HSV Grange.

Another outstanding result, wonder what it would be like with the VE Utes as well

Record months are outstanding yes but this isnt surprising is it with the first all new model in 10 years and 1bil invested? I would be worried if it wasnt record sales!

Cheers

Just because it's all new doesnt automatically mean record sales ! The AU Ford met your equation too and we all know that story. You have gotta have the product ,moreso in these times of high competition and petrol prices.Obviously HSV have got the right product at the moment.
