Need ur help on next car choice!

hey guys
i currently drive a vy storm
and wanna upgrade...
i possibly might be joining the police force next year so i might have 2 live in golburn 4 3 months and travel down there abit...

i have a few choices i was thinking?
1) upgrade to vz impulse blue ss ute
2) upgrade to monaro 2003/2004 model plus more seats
3) buy a good few year old forester and just drive that around 4 awhile wat u think???

Your help would be greatly appreciated...

Ok I am at the College of Knowledge at the moment and let me tell you this right now, dont get into debt before you come down here because money is very tight.

Wait until you finish and start working because the credit union offers salary packaging when you are a Pro Constable.

You might not get a scholarship when you come down here which would make things very hard.

Plus you dont want a car that attracts attention from your future collegues, if you know what I mean.

I sold my WRX and just bought a Pulsar before I came down here and just going to wait until I finish until I get my VE.

And if you fail a subject you have to come down for one day a week just to do the whole subject again, you might be down here for longer then you think.

Just my opinion from someone who is doing it.

Really though it depends on your circumstances. Will you be doing a lot of miles coming back from the academy on weekends for family or are you planning on staying down there?

It would be hard to give up a V8 holden for a 4 banger but it sometimes makes economic sense. The Foresters are good reliable cars so the choice just comes down to what you can afford, remembering that you'll have no income coming whilst at the academy unless on a scholarship. Good luck with it all.

Its taken me 47 years to finally own my dream car. There is plenty of time, don't go overboard in debt early. Lets face it in the main cars are transport machines and have a fun element - you don't need to be a world beater. Salary sacrafice may be the way to go!!:yup:
