Essentially no
Do a search of the forums and you will find detailed info on cop cars and the 9C1 Executives

As stated do a search because the ex-cop/modifications thing has come up a number of times in the past, including not all that long ago. The basic answer is that power wise they are stock standard.

Except with possibly "generous timing" ;)
But yes, essentially standard SS.

And most likely the ute's 17 inch rims, not 18's.

No offence zorak, but this is why guys get the wrong idea and beleive that ex cop cars are something other than stock. Your reply started with "I THINK".
Once again, NOTHING is done to the pcm, suspension or the drivetrain to make it faster.
I know of some cop cars (around Padstow) that have been edited but that was certainly not done by the Police department. Some cops know tuners quite well.

Absolutely nothing is done to the police cars usually, except maybe they have been driven over high curbs, bush bashed etc, crushing exhaust systems and damaging other vital components. plus they have holes drilled into the roof panels where all of the electrical components go (look under the black plastic strips on the roof)

I'm not indicating that the cops drive around in 'unofficial' hotted up commodores, point your finger elsewhere. I know there are stories about cop chips etc etc which are bs, there are no such thing.
Understandably we all get told information, this has come from 3 people involved in the plod which could be true or not, obviopusly not, point taken coppers drive standard vehicles, cheers for pointing it out.
no offence taken

Only things I have noticed on my car (Ex Vic cop car)
1. couple holes on passengers side where I assume radio was bolted.
2. no key access into boot (IE no keyhole)
3. button to shutdown internal lights from turning on (where bluetooth buttons go)
4. no traction control

You should be able to push the shifter back to 2nd without holding the button down...

I can do that in my berlina, its not a police car exclusive ;)
Talk to people that have owned the cars, not people that "heard from a guy I know" :yup:

Or you could ask the blokes that drive them day in day out!! Before they take the lights and sirens off them.

I found out regarding the trac control that apparently up to the VY model the polpack had it removed completely but VZ and now VE it is being left in on their cars... so thats why you have it and I dont.
and the radio thing I didnt even notice until I was giving the guy a hand to install my new stereo... there is just 3 little holes in the trim.. probably 3mm screws so from a distance (even just sitting in the passenger seat) you cant see them

I was just thinking that myself, none in my clubby, I somehow think that all cop cars along with all other holden's got the same treatment

Thanks Guys, Just checked the car...NO key for the boot...Other than that, car is clean, no holes in roof, 2 X 4mm holes in centre console only. Will check the shifter tonight for shifts without pressing the button. The only thing that is visible is the worn material where the gun sits on the coppers belt...Thanks fellas :woot: :woot:

The button for boot access is on your key or in the glove box. They have not had key access boots for ages now.

Up to VX, I think this was the mod done on a police pack, then from VY on the mod was there for all auto's.
