I've been driving around the last couple of weeks with my trusty laptop and my flashy new Flashscan V2 logging away and enjoying the dashboard and other features.

I brought a laptop so I could use it in the car. It wasnt until today I realised I already have a computer in the car, the carpc. So I thought I would give it a go.

Sorry for the bad quality pics, my good digi SLR isnt here today and thought Id use my phone. But you get the gist of it:

The scanning actually works pretty well and at a good speed too. I was surprised.

Because of the detailed stuff in the tuning program (and my resolution) its a bit hard to see whats going on and will keep that to the laptop.

Atleast if when I go to the drags I wont have to strap the laptop in to log some runs
All a bit of fun,

Very nice mate, is that the same setup that was posted a while ago?

Might have to setup something similar in mine.

I have to agree, very clever jez :)

Learning anything from the tuning mate, is it a worthwhile investment you think ?

Learning ALOT. Great to know how you car works and how it changes things from talking to sensors connected to it. How weather and fuel effect its performance etc.

Still getting my head around alot of things but starting to have idea how things work. Definately worth getting.

looks like a great idea!

A car PC is good but running EFILive on it, sounds unreal

Cheers,

Great setup, do you know if Centrafuse is able to grab data from the EFILive Flashscan V2? As I know Centrafuse has its own system data section?

Havent tried it. I do know that the OBDII section is based on the ELM chipset and the appropriate plugins.

Very sweet little setup there. Makes it easier to see the data logged rather than a laptop on the front seat.

That is cool. A heads up display like the Corvette's would be even better.
