Howdy Guys,
As the title says I am interested as to how many Kms your Series 1 CV8 has done now that they have just ticked over their 5th anniversary?
We recently purcased one for the wife and were fortunate to pick it up with only 19,000 Kms on the clock.
But it has got me wondering how all the rest are going with regards to Kms and how have you found the car over the journey?
Looking forward to your responses.
Happy Cruizin.

You guys have amazingly low kms on your cars! That's great though. Must all be in pretty mint condition.
I would have thought the average kms would'a been around the 80,000km+ mark for one of these.

I have chalked up 180,000 kms, just had it's service.
Only had the usual things, wet rear floor mats, cubby cover latches breaking twice already and stones in the top of the front struts.
The car battery only seems to last 80,000 kms but I get up, tyres last 50,000 kms, I pump them up to 40PSI and I do quite a few highway k's.
Still on original clutch and otherwise OK, does have an annoying clunk in the rear suspension though.
Cheers, Matthew

Hi,
I'm a bit late on the reply side of things (been off site), have a S1 Flame/Flame M6 with 12,000Km, great car to drive but I need to get in it more often.
The V2 Monaro is old news now like the old HK-HG Monaro, but the V2 still looks good for a 5 year old car, as do the HK-HG Monaros.
Have fun in your new machine.
Cheers.

It's great to keep low k's etc but then it means people aren't driving these beasts very much, isn't the purpose of a car to drive it? My other half's sister bought a CV8 in 2004 brand new and it has over 100k k's on it now because she loves to drive it. You people with low k's need to drive them more

2002 (12th) just hit 29,000
And it has low K's because I don't want any turkey knocking it around, it's my little present to myself.

G'day.
Bought my gto in Jan 03 and now has 92k on the clock.
As a fat bugger drives it all the time, I have had the drivers seat base changed a cupla times, under warranty.

Ive done 44,500K's - daily driver.
If you aint done at least 50,000k's by now (or close too) your waisting a great opportunity to enjoy a truly awesome car.
Happy motoring

Mine's a SII GTO and it has 53000 clicks on it - Ive had it for 5 months now and bought it with a tad under 50000. I love this thing and am now in the process of modding it.

Daily driver, just hit 70k, was going to garage it before the magic 100k, but now I don't really care.
Cars like this are meant to be driven.

Just traded my series 1 Monaro in on new R8 clubbie, had 110,000ks and looked great finished in Flame colour (this colour was discontiued after series 1, which i believe made it rarer), got 25k as a trade in which I thought was a bit low, although i negotiated 3k of the list price of the New R8, so I guess if I had paid full retail for the R8, I would have got another 3k for the Monaro, its all swings and roudabouts.

I wonder if that was your old Flame Monaro that was knocked off from the car yard at Bendigo and wiped out those 5 cop cars etc.. this week. Could have been wholesaled up there as Flame series ones are not that thick on the ground, so you never know.
Anyway thanks everyone for the responses so far to my thread. We are enjoying ours big time and are now into the mods which is great.Go the coupes!!
