WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro
WPS BATHURST INTERNATIONAL MOTOR FESTIVAL April 6 -8 2007
Newsletter 4
The first 2 entries for the 2007 WPS Bathurst Showroom Enduro have been lodged by Holden Motorsport, who will participate as a manufacturer with a Holden Astra Turbo CTDi in the Eco Diesel/Hyrid class under 3.5 litres, and a Holden Astra Sri Turbo Coupe in the 2 wheel drive Hot Hatch class. Entries opened on the 1st Of November and Holden Motorsport Manager Simon McNamara was keen to hit the ground running as soon as entries opened. No decision on who will steer the cars yet, but expect it to be some high profile Holden pilots. The battle for pole position in the entry stakes was hard fought between Holden Motorsport, Bob Pearson, Bob Hughes, Brian Walden and Scott Juniper.
With over 130 expressions of interest for grid positions, all those intending to lodge a formal entry should do so before the holiday break. A limited number of grid positions will be held for each class to ensure a balanced field, and with 10 classes eligible, grid positions will be strictly limited. As the administration office for the 12 Hour will be closed until January 22, it is recommended that entries be lodged prior
to Christmas. The first 5 fully paid up entries in each class lodged will be guaranteed a race start subject to normal qualifying criteria. Entry forms, and supplementary regulations can be found at www.bimf.com.au (http://www.bimf.com.au) The NINE Network has confirmed that the WPS Bathurst 12 Hour Showroom Enduro will be televised in a 2 hour special Saturday April 21 in an afternoon timeslot. The special will also be replayed on Fox Sports, through TVNZ New Zealand and Motors TV Europe. A limited number of in car cameras are available for the event at a cost of $2,200 including GST.
