Hey there everyone

Just wondering is the starter motor on a manual ls1 and a auto ls1 the same or are they different?

I will be attempting to do a gearbox conversion on my VT SS gen 3

I wanna go from m6 to auto

Not sure about actual part numbers, but they are certainly interchangeable. I have done many LS1 auto to manual and never had a problem. Ben.

Im going to be doing a manual to auto conversion soon so I just wanted to know whether I had to replace the starter motor with a auto unit since i have a manual starter right now!

Starter motors are the same between manual and autos no difference.
