Hi All, Considering replacing the standard shocks & coils in the SS. Ideally I would go for either Koni's or Bilstien shocks but the budget does not streatch that far and the car has only one year to go on lease.

As an alternative I have been considering perhaps Lovells Superlows or Kings Superlows with perhaps Monroe GT Gas shocks or Pedders. My understanding is that the Pedders shocks are rebadged Munroes anyway. What do you guys think would be a good choice.

Kings superlows and Koni reds shouldn't be much more than pedders gear?

this is what i did,

lovells superlows : $220 for full set

BOGE turbo shortened shocks : $175 for the pair (rear)
$ 175 each for front struts.

i haven't put the front struts in but so far the car feels 10 times better and looks hot. \

KYB are apparently = to boge shocks. i was gonna go KYB but GSAwholesale said that boge are the better option if you dont want adjustables.

Ring the guys at http://www.gsad.com.au/ and talk to them. I got all my gear for my VZ SS from them even though I'm in Melbourne and they're in Qld. Knowledge, service and prices all very good. I got Kings Superlows and KYB short shocks. (My understanding is that George Shepheard the owner used to own the Holden Dealer Team 20 or so years ago and they are heavily into rallying now.)
