Hey eroticar, welcome to the forums. I can tell you that there were 452 GTS coupes ever built according to my research. 280 Series 1, 150 Series 2, and 22 Series 3 (when they went to special order i believe). Congrats on the purchase, I purchased one late last year...2002 in quiksilver...it had always been a dream. Enjoy the ride!!!!

Thanks mate. I was always curious now they have ceased production. By the way i love the gts in silver, very classy and still tuff at the same time.

Yeah it surprised me how many were built as well. Still not a lot in relative terms to the thousands and thousand of monaros built. No work done on it yet, considering exhaust because the stock one is a little quiet outside the car for my liking....does have a nice growl inside the cabin though so perhaps thats what they originally tuned it for?? what you got keen to get those 303rwkw?

You're dead right...our taste is impeccable!!

No worries about the info...I called HSV when I first got mine to find out. Yeah I like the silver as well, its a classic combo...silver exterior/black interior. Having said that, your yellow one would stand out like you know what!!

Greg, ive had exhaust/extractors done, and valve springs,232/232@112 cam, double row chain. Pretty basic stuff really.Exhaust and cam.Motor failed a oil consumption test.So with the rebuild they were good enough to put a couple of good bits in for me that I supplied.;)

Erotic welcome to the forum

You have a very rare car for Christchurch

You may need to do some mods to make sure the boy racers stay behind you

Would hate to get beaten by a car that sneezed when it changed gear

I lived in Shirley a few years, & visit most years still have family & friends there

keen, do you have any personal opinion on long-term collectability of GTS coupes?

The way there prices have dropped, in the short term there is no collectability,Maybe round 2020.I have no dought that they will become collectors, but not any time soon.As for anyone with a normal monaro that thinks there going to be collectable....I think there kidding themselves. GTS prices drop does seem to tappering off now tho.....thank god.You can buy one for under $45k.

I agree that long term they will be far more desirable than a normal monaro. I havn't seen any for under 45K mind you but I think the prices have stablised somewhat. The limited production numbers, superior technical specs and GTS badge heritage can only hold them in good stead.

Thanks for the comments guys. I agree that the prices have leveled out. Call me biased, but i think the coupe is the best looking holden ever built. (just my opinion) I plan on doing a harrop supercharger, Gto bonnet, and suspension lowering. Cant wait to feel supercharger with 6 speed behind it.
