It is awesome, probably one of the first times an aussie concept has been a star at a US motor show, and of all places - Detroit!!

Absolutely fantastic effort by Holden. Apart from being an outstanding concept, Efijy suggests there's a lot of talent hiding at Holden HQ, and perhaps that talent is being wasted on the mundane work involved in designing a family car that has to appeal to the masses. I think there's a strong case for Holden now to go further then Monaro and let these guys design a hero coupe that isn't based on the restrained Commodore theme. They are obviously capable of delivering an M3 crushing competitor.

Great to see the world taking notice of what we Aussies can do, other than Paul Hogan and Vegemite.

The Efijy is definately a fine looking car and if I could have it I would. Glad it is getting the recognition it deserves.
See it on channel 9 news tonight that they (holden) may be "FORCED" to build the efijy because of all the intrest its had... no word from holden to dealers though

I highly, highly doubt that would ever happen. It would cost WAY too much money to produce.
Though a hot hatch, toranaish is something that must be already in the pipeline.

...and from the same show , Ford are screwed ! Teaming with microsoft for incar electronics .Sync by microsoft :lmao:
" DETROIT (AP) - Microsoft Corp. Chairman Bill Gates made an appearance via satellite Sunday to help Ford Motor Co. tout Sync, the companies' new in-dash system that links cars with cell phones and personal music players.
Gates addressed a crowd at the North American International Auto Show from Las Vegas, where he was attending the International Consumer Electronics Show. He discussed the importance of a system like Sync in increasing connectivity.
"We need to bring the car into that equation, but in a simple, safe way," Gates said.
Gates was introduced by Ford's Alan Mulally, who took over as president and chief executive of the nation's No. 2 automaker last year. The Detroit auto show was a new experience for Mulally, who previously spent 37 years at aircraft maker Boeing Co."
Thats the final nail right there .

The Effijy is awesome.
My first car was a FJ ute!
Only problem, most Yanks either think Australia is somewhere in Europe OR the car is from 'Austria'! Lol!

Did anyone else read in the paper last week that 'Jay-Z', who saw it Efijy in detroit, has secured a deal to have it in his next music video? i found that rather amusing.
