Hey guys,
Just wondering did any of you guys worry about the alarm upgrade for your VE's??
The Alarm upgrade is listed on the Holden site when you build and price a vehicle, it's listed at a cost of $462.00 RRP.
IF anyone know's anything about the up grade, is it worth spending this money through Holden's?
Or do you belive a better product could be fitted afteremarket.
Sorry about all the questions :D

CarlFST60L is the alarm expert. Hopefully he will reply, though hasn't been on the forum for almost a week.

I got the alarm upgrade and fitted it cost $550 i think it was. It includes another siren, motion sensors and tilt sensors. Im happy with it. For an aftermarket alarm with simular features ur looking at roughly the smae price. so thats i just got holden to fit it. N if there is any issues its under warranty too.

Yes true. Easy if they are relatively the same price and quality or better than aftermarket to get Holden to fit it and then have it under warranty with the rest of the car etc.

Having had a set of tyres stolen from my VY Calais a couple of months ago I considered getting the alarm upgrade, but then thought that it would cost me an extra $500 or so where as if the tyres did ever get stolen (which has happened once in 20 years and now I park the car inside behind huge unopenable gates all the time) then the government would just replace them for free, so why should I bother spending another $500 of my money.
