I have just got some Falken Azenis in 235/45/17 for $195 delivered from Temp tyres, might not be the best semi slick but for the price I dont think I can go too far wrong.

Cheers,

Not many classes of racing use a full slick these days what type of racing are you doing? just a normal R spec is better for short runs aka 5-10 laps as they dont take as long to come upto temp

For drag racing, I would go the BF Goodrich as I believe they are still available in 17".

As this is in the 'Circuit Racing and General Motorsport' forum I assume he's talking about slicks for circuit work rather than drag racing.

Most of the guys here who do circuit work use a semi-comp tyres eg Bridgestone RE55's

Thanks for the replies fellas. yeh it's for circuit not drag. the reason for a full slick over semi-smlick was due to not using these tyres on street so dont need a semi slick. but i've forgotton to take the heat factor into it. so i might look at some semi slicks.

thanks guys

17 inch slicks r not to hard to find
just to afford good yokohama full slick
for a set of four cost around the $2800 mark

if there was enough intrest mabe a group buy could be organised
cheaper for every one. i need 17 and 18inch but i can get all sizes

I purchased a set of r17 610 Yokohama full slick for $1480.00. They are 230 wide and stick like glue. Speak to the guys at Gordon Leven Motorsport. Hope this helps.
