I am posting this for a mate that owns a GTR Skyline.

He recently used the park and fly facility at the airport. When he picked up his car he noticed the gearbox was very nosiy.

Very long story short, it turns out he is up for a rebuild on his gearbox and a new clutch and flywheel. He had only just put in a new clutch and flywheel before christmas. He has been informed it has been put through many many high RPM launches.

At present he is trying to mount a case agaisnt park and fly for the damage done to his gear box and clutch.

Is there any of you LS1 guys out there that have similar experences with park and fly in sydney. If so could you tell me exactly what happened and the out come. If can PM me if you dont want everyone to read it.

Thanks for your help.

It'd be pretty hard to prove wouldn't it? Sounds a worry.

i always reset my trip km's and write down the kms before I hand my key over to anyone. have had an experience with a 'well known' brisbane rotary shop & those landcruisers that take scenic highway photos on the M1.

like vulture said, hard to prove unless there is security footage, which there should be at all exit/entry points.

good luck

Did he note his odometer reading before dropping it off?

Even if he did, unless it was noted on the paperwork before he left, he'll be SOL with any claims. Most parking places have very specific disclaimers you sign when leaving your vehicle with them.
