as the title suggest I need help, I am trying to buy one of those Boronia towbars for my monaro in vic and wanting to get it shipped to adelaide, spoke to the bloke there he was pretty helpful, got them in stock and ready to dispatch but they dont deliver to SA (or NSW) rang a few freight companies and they dont want to deal with you unless you are an account customer(TNT and star track express) has anyone got any other ideas, I ideally want door to door service but and willing to pick it up at a depot in adelaide if required

if he is willing, get him to deliver it to a greyhound bus depot, they have a freight service that delivers anywhere a bus goes, and for a few dollars extra, will deliver it to your door (I cannot remember if they also have a pick up service). I suggest that you give them a call to confirm pricing etc, other couriers will also do a door to door service, but it is pretty expensive, you just need to call around.

Have you tried Australia Post (their courier/freight division) my daughter's company send some pretty heavy freight around Australia usually large boxes of printed matter but quite heavy and they pick up and deliver door to door. I have been there when the guy has picked up and some of the boxes were pretty heavy. Just a thought.

Where abouts in Vic are they mate? I've got a couple of mates coming over our way at the w/end for a mates bday do down near Naracourte. They could bring it over and then I can bring it up to Adelaide if you wanted. Just depends where in Vic they are etc. And how soon you want it. Will probably be over that way in early Feb also myself. Also have a mate who runs grog through to Perth a lot from Vic (sounds dodgey doesn't it!) that could possibly pick it up - but depends when his next trip is.
Just remembered - Toll Express or whatever they call themselves these days (used to Wards Skyroad back int he day) don't require you to be an account customer to use them....well as at 12mths ago they didn't.
Try Australian Air Express, have used them previously without a corporate account.
