Hey guys, quick question. About three weeks ago i had problems with my starter motor. I would have to move the shifter back and forth and would take about twenty seconds to start the car, sometimes longer. Now all of a sudden the car starts fine and has been like this for a week. What could it be and should i worry about it? By the way its a series 2 vt ss .

If your car is an auto,it may be the neutral safety switch on the transmission. It stops the vehicle from starting in gear.

If its a manual it could be the starter solenoid or the starter itself.

Maybe the battery has not got enough cranking case capacity(if its an old battery).

Either way, it might even be a connection, you should get it checked out because it WILL happen again.......Cheers John
