im trying to figure out freight cost for a gts rim and tyre. does anyone know the approx size and weight of one of these rims plus a tyre??

also can anyone recommend a cheap freight/courier company?

Sven the rim is 19" in diamter and 8 inches wide. Make a square round that and you'll get your box sizes. ;)

My GTS rims weigh 26kg each which includes a 245x35x19 nankang tyre. Box size you need is 660mm x 660mm and it will fit nice and snug.

the weight of the rim its self is 15kgs once boxed. size is normally around 65 x 65 x 25 cms i hope that helps

Two weeks ago I got a set of VY GTS rims no tyres sent to me via StarTrack Express $85 from VIC to QLD.
Hope that gives you an idea of price.

hmmm, so im still a bit confused about the weight. 15kg - 26kg is a fair difference. is there a tech site that can tell me exactly??

Sven the two quotes above were for the following.

1. 26kg including tyre
2. 15kg rim only.

ok thanks, i just thought that 11kg for a tyre was a bit much
