Kris na no stroker from here just going to enjoy it now... i have ordered a new Holley 90mm throttlebody and changing the front of the PWR blower from ls1 snout to the LS2 snout and that should get it kicking seeing that the standard one is on there still and its only 74mm. The get a touch up tune to add the throttlebody,water/meth injection and the new 3:46 Kaaz diff then ill see how it go's!

I have sold my engine and blower combo.. Bought an L98 and all the goodies to produce the 400... something stroker its being built as we speak. I should have it all back together and tuned by start to mid Feb. Going for a pokey NA!

Ill have to have a look at some of the drag threads bud. I think i may have sorted it out, she is idling and allot more grumpy since we have got eh oil pressure back to where it should be. Its going in monday to get the preload on the rockers checked then its time for another run on the dyno and touch the tune up! See how we go i guess, but the main thing it feels allot more responsive then it was last week. If im not happy with that ill be going a massive cam!

Shit mate WTFs going on? Who on earth is recommending you put 12.1 comp on the thing? 11.1 comp (maximum)+ the Higgins heads + a 252 cam will get the thing going. If it doesnt, then you're engine guy doesnt know what the fark he's doing...:confused:

11:5 compression is fine for 98 pump fuel!!!!! I wont be going any higher then that!

It will be done right this time without a drama all it needs is more comp and the thing will be off its head with this cam. But i have decided to go bigger and get the heads done at the same time. Then it should be done. Im lucky to drive it once a week at all. I know PT would have been the best option but he is a good mate my builder so we will see. And if there are any dramas down the track it is warrented.

I dropped the engine off last night at my builders. Heads are off to Higgins monday, Cam is leaving the states today, the block is being honed to accomadate the new pistons which will bring it to a 408 (6.6L). Should be right to go in 3-4 weeks ready for tuning.

I had mine strengthened when i made it into licorice 8 months ago, it has a F250 centre bearing in it ill get old mate to make it to suit so its nice and strong.

bit of an update!

I have mounted my B&M Pro ratchet shifter and mounted the cable. Craig has built the box and i should have it back with the converter and flex plate tuesday so then i can get that mounted.

Heads are back from Higgins and new cam and pistons are waiting for the package to be honed and balanced. I have it booked in for the 6th of July for the engine install and tune.

Well the 4L65E is built and back and i mounted it last night.

I have my headers up for sale atm and i have ordered my new DiFillipo 2" headers and getting them HPC'd. Should have any restrictions at all now.

No you'll be alright. Just don't use the standard metal GM gaskets as they are too small and the headers will leak at the cylinder head. You have to use the fibrous aftermarket type.

They are a tight squeeze for sure, but look very mighty once on. Oh and you'll probably need to get yourself some heatshield boots on the spark plug wires as a safety precaution. Other than that I think they sit very close to the rubber covering on the steering arm.

But I'm chuffed with mine!!!!

Will be interesting to see what power you make.

First pull on the 502 ci block that I'm getting apparently went over 700 ft-lbs.... so there's your benchmark :)

Yeah i asked Darren about heatshield covering the leads but he said they should be right. So we will soon see otherwise ill have to grab some i guess. The headers have a heatshield on them where they go near the rack but whether or not its enough we will soon see i guess.

Im heading down to pick up my motor from the goldy friday night, Ill have my headers today with some luck. Then its getting towed for install and tune monday so maybe by the end of next week it will have its run in tune on it and ill have it back on the road. Ill grab some pics when i get time.

What fibre material have i gotts use instead of the stainless gasket?

I havent driven it much in the past 6 months as its been off the road. But its in getting the new eninge, G/box and having its tune done. Should have it back this week and finally be able to drive it again.

Ill be going to SC cruise fro charity at the end of August. And also powercruise in September.

He has started the tune friday and i should have it back early next week. Im loving the sound of it so far, keen as for the first drive. If it hooks up well the torque of this thing is going to be wild.

I would say i have lost a fair bit through the box and converter but it till be a stout streeter!

Its not a secret but id rather not hand out all the details. Fraser from Speed inc got the custom grind for me. Its a 25*/25*! lol

Depends how far you want to go really. The stroker kit is the cheapest part id have to say. Its all the extras you want to do at the same time that add up, Heads, Headers bigger cam the list just keeps going. I can give you details of the builder if you would like to get in contact with him.

Yeah ill will see how it go's first it isnt going to be massive hp. I think the converter and built box will drain a fair bit, but what its lacking in hp it will well and truely make it up in torque.

Yeah i dont think its out of the ordinary some dynos are happy figure setters but this sounds roughly right. Craig who built the box said with this box and converter i should be losing roughly 28-30% from an engine hp figure.

Fun times ahead!

PWR 112 i had on it but it was cammed and heads were ported also. The miss i had was to do with the coild i had on it at the time im sure you can guess what brand they were?

Power Torque Engines in Brissy did the lot for me on that engine combo. Oil pump was standard but i didnt have my engine built it was stock bottom end. There should be plenty of good workshops that could do the job just have to get a good tuner!

I went for a run in it tonight just getting the shift points right, first time i have been on a road test and gave it a good stab and i was more then impressed its a kneck snapper. The torque hooked up through this auto is awesome!

Thats not a drama bud im gonna be struggling especially if i go breaking something. I need to drive it for a week to work and see what its got and get use to it wtc. Its gonna be a totally different car!

Well i got it back last night and i must say im really impressed! With the auto you dont realise how quickly it gains speed through the gears. Its useless on the street tyres in first and second and i havent even tried third yet. It pulls harder then the blown combo by far on the road. 2nd gear is the glory gear and i must say the lope of the cam is very addictive. Big cam and still very streetable i cant wait to give it a good crack over the weekend!

My 5.7 PT H+C through 6K stall made similar power than that.... are you sure those figures are correct????

My PT power figure i got on my blown combo was 519rwhp but on Blairys dyno it could ever only get 470rwhp so maybe its just his dyno maybe its a true figure. Either way im happy with the way it go's on the road and it can only get better as it loosens up a tad! There isnt anything i havent covered so i guess thats all it has??

Yep - could well be dyno differences etc. If you ever go to Willowbank let's see what the ET speed is that you achieve as that is a good testament of the power for sure.
