Good find, very interesting. Makes me wonder how good some of the alloy wheel repairs are when you see whats involved in making them and the quality control and checking that the manufacturers do.

good find and interesting,

I wish it was that easy where i am.

we do all the casting manually by hand pouring moulden alloy approx 710-740 degrees into a funnel mechanism that forms the whole wheel at once and the speed at which you pour the metal can effect the outcome of the wheel with regards to poricty( spellings off) air bubles hidden under the surface of the metal. also the heat/temp of the mold effects it aswell along with the way they are prepared. fun but hot.

alot diff to how they make the manifolds/heads on the alloytec v6 .

RAYS engineering are probabaly some of the best wheels around, I wonder if the proces might be slightly different for some of the cheap blingers getting around....?
