I posted under this section, I needed to add more info, twice, I did, it automerged, which was good. but now i want to add some more very important info to do with registering the car and it says it needs to be verified? why? my post is allready up, what am i going to do post another car up for sale in the same thread???? :teach:

have others had the same thing? why for 1 day did my replies go on there straight away and now they dont? doesnt that defeat the purpose of verifying it in the first place?

All replies in the classifieds section are moderated as we want to keep that section clean of conversational posts and approve only posts directly related to the sale.
i.e. You advertise your car and subscribe to the thread to be notified of replies - you get an email saying there have been 10 replies - so you quickly log in to see the $$ offers and they're all posts of "cool car" or "I wish I had the money for that". Pointless posts that don't help the sale at all.
We also do it to stop non-sponsor businesses from replying with a full advertisement for their business (It happens a lot and they don't get approved)

Your initial replies were added straight away because the automerge prevented them from being treated as a "new" post in the thread.

The automerge works by merging any posts you make within a 24hr period in the same thread provided noone else has already posted. After 24hrs passes it recognises any posts you have made as a new post even if noone else has replied.

I think you have found a but in the auto-merge, it does not honour the moderation rules of a forum properly .. I will have to get this fixed. None of your posts should have been automatically added without a moderator first validating the thread. It took 24hrs as that is how long auto-merge takes before it does not auto-merge.
