pretty straight forward procedure. undo the two bolts holding the caliper on and slip off.

make sure you have a G-clamp and small piece of wood to push back the cylinders or you will find it difficult to get the caliper over the new rotor (make sure the are pressed back even). Also a rubber mallet for some encouragement to get the rotor off the hub, even pays to give the hub a hit with some sandpaper to remove surface rust.

check for leaks, signs of wear on the cylinder protective boots, also when putting the calipers back on, check the boots on the sliders, they can come off and easily put back on.

good luck

What else do you need? Hmmm maybe the number of one of the forum sponsors to do the install.

Speed has never ever killed anyone. Its the sudden stop from trees, poles, walls from failing brakes and the like that does the trick.

If you do go ahead with the install, take your time.

Brake rotor changes arent rocket science, but gee, the results if you get it wrong are not good.
Get someone who has experience to help you out and check it over before you drive it anywhere.
Throw the grease away. Theres nothing to grease.

I got my rear brakes changed over for the measly sum of $80, this was for everything, rotors, pads & callipars. I just turned up with my gear & off they went. A small price to pay if unsure exactly how to do it & at least I know it has been done correctly.

mate pi$$ the grease off, but do get some acetone, to clean the protective film off the rotors otherwise that will clog up the pads and warp your new rotors in no time. I always scuff my pads up by lightly running them in a figure 8 on the ground before installing them, just a habit I suppose.

all in all pretty easy job

did these myself a while ago. Just about gave up after an hour and a half of beating the shit outta the old rotor to get the prick off. U will notice to little tapped holes on the hub.....screw the caliper bolts into these, give the rotor a tap and they should come straight off! Only took me hour and a half an a mashed rotor to werk that out.....lol

did my rears a couple of weeks ago.. all i needed was:-
Rotors
Pads
Socket set
Spanners
Loctite

Rotors came off easy as snuff, hardest thing to do was t ocrack the 2 bolts holding on the caliper bracket.. Once that was done had no dramas..

Job took about a can a side :)
