I have the HSV Premium Brake System in the Y-Series R8.
I understand that these are 4-Spot all round with 343mm x 32mm front rotors.
Can anyone confirm/answer:
- Are/were these supplied to HSV by Harrop?
- Can replacement pads and rotors be purchased elsewhere than from HSV Dealers to save a few bucks?

Yes except they have the HSV logo on them instead
Yes other pads such as Bendix ultimates or the DBA slotted rotors can be sourced elsewhere for your car.
fairly positive on that but happily corrected if wrong:thumbsup:

Happor hey Chappy? hehe.
He means Harrop of course.
PBR also supplied the 330mm performance brakes and 298mm stockers.
Try Racebrakes for good pricing on pads etc and tell em the LS1 forum sent you.

Many aren't aware of it, but Harrop's own branded front brakes are actually totally different to the HSV version. The rotors have a different offset, and the "real" Harrop calipers have a much stronger casting, particularly around the mounts, plus they use a different shape pad.
The HSV versions are more something Harrop made under contract to a cost.

Ferodo Formula DS2500's are the go. Less dust, more bite but not cheap. He is on the ********* forums as a sponsor so see what he can do.
