Hey everyone, ive just had the Gen TT kit installed in my car however its not hitting the power figure that i'm after. Does anyone know of where i can source two Gen TTR turbos or anything similar at a similar price? Also does anyone know if its possible to exchange my current turbos for the larger ones, ie Gen TTR, and pay the difference? Any feedback would be appreciated...

Cheers Darshik

Why not go back to the supplier and speak to them. They designed the kits so they will be able to tell you what is interchangeable and what isnt. They should also be able to tell you if the power figures your receiving are inline with what is expected.

Your best bet would be to contact Martin or Doughy directly - contact details are available in their forum.

I believe they recently sorted another member out with exactly this scenario.

i agree, your supplier would know where to go,,strange question actually cos there is only one place they come from!! who did your kit for you?

The KKR380 turbos are a direct swap. Same mount etc.

Curious to know - regardless of the Power Output - how does it drive? Are you just disappoined with whatever the dyno says?

And what is the power figure you are aiming for ?

Were the guys aware of this figure when you purchased the kit ?

490rwhp is around 360rwkw. That is actually pretty darn good for the stock GenTT. There has been a bit of exaggeration going on with regard to this kit and realistically it gives 340-350 REAL WORLD rear wheel KW (ie with filters in place etc). If you got 360odd rwkw, you're actually doing very well.

!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm a Gen-T running 400rwHP and loving it!

Are you sure you arent staring at the possibility of sacrificing driveability for IPI? (Internet Penis Inches)

Driveability is so "Old School" these days.

IPI is where it's at!

490rwhp is about right through a twin 2.5 inch exhaust and stock Gen-TT kit with good accurate tune etc :)
In this configuration forum member Little Lord ran 11.0 @ 127mph, so its got plenty of beans at that level

Changing the exhaust to a twin 3 inch, and winding 11 - 12psi of boost into the top end will give you around 510 - 520rwhp which is starting to get pretty serious, and should guarantee you a 10 second pass trapping over 130mph

If you want a bigger number or faster time slip then go the Gen-TTR upgrade to make closer to 580 - 600rwhp....but I strongly suggest you investigate the possibility of a built engine before pusing the boundaries much further than that! :teach:

Drop me a PM and I will outline the conversion process if you want :)

Specially built Callaway Engine from the US.
Only went into the 300kw GTS's.

Has a different camshaft, different heads..

Would be good to see the results of a Gen-TTR system on a built stroker, whats boost control like on a 400+ ci?
