Hi Guys
I Am Wondering If Any One Can Help I Have Just Brought A Vz Wagon For The Misses To Drive And Am Looking At Puting It On Gas
Has Any One Done This?
Do Any For Our Sponsers Do Gas ?
Does This Void My Warranty From Holden?
Thanks

Holden's own conversion includes cylinder heads with hardened valve seats, so you could expect to lose your warranty in that area.
I have a VYII LX8 Adventra & just got it back yesterday from APS (forum sponsor in Frankston) they did a Vapour injection LPG kit on it. Mine is a v8 tho with exhaust, extractors OTR & Mafless tune
So far seems ok

Well they Dyno'ed it & reckon only 3kw down on LPG compared to Petrol. Seems pretty good, But will be taking it back for adjustments as some times can be a little sluggish down low. but only sometimes So im sure it's all in adjustments;)

From what I understand, the Alloytec V6 is unsuitable for lpg unless you have the factory lpg specific motor with hardened valve seats.
An lpg conversion can be done with the standard V6 however the motor will not last long at all and you will be up for head rebuilds within about 40k-60k.

What Dave said :) If the warranty in that area is important to you, might be best to wait until it's expired.

thanks guys
i am concerened about the warranty but the cost to install seem way to hight on a 6 cylinder engine thats all
she does about 700km per week so cost of fuel will be a big issue for us
i have a quote form some one elese that will give me 100k 3 year engine warranty sounds good but what if they go broke?
mmmmmmmm i don t no

Have a chat to a Taxi driver with an Alloytech if you ever get the chance. It's my understanding there a few non-factory Alloytech gas conversions on Taxis.

I have only ever seen about 2 VZ taxis and funnily enough they didn't have the little lpg placard on the number plate, so that could be saying something.
