Hey Guys,

Brand new to this site, i was just wondering if anyone can point me in the direction of an insurer who provides cheap insurance to under 25's.

I will soon be purchasing a GSXR600 prob somewhere around the 2001-2004 model. The best quote i managed to find for comprehensive insurance was with i think the NRMA and it was around the $2000 mark for comprehensive insurance. Shannons wont touch me as i am under the age of 25 :(

The bike will only be used for weekend use and be bolted to the ground in a secure garage at home.

anyone know where i might be able to get cheaper comprehensive insurance than $2000?

much appreciated.

Joel

Dont think that really helps when he's talking about bike insurance!!!

Joel - try QBE or Swann mate, they'd be your best hope, maybe Ryno worth a look as well.

Get an online Quote from shannons then print it.
Next go to Western QBE and make them price match it as they will.
If you call shannons they will tell you they dont cover guys under 25 or 30 but there online quote will spit out a $$ amount for you no matter how old you are so when you call QBE you have a price they have to match in writting.
I am a sneaky bugger ;)

i had trouble with insurance with my bike as noone would insure me, i heard shannons are great but they would only insure me if i had a bike insured within the last 2 years but i never insured my gpx250 as i got it for only $1500 and it seemed like a waste of money. i tried nrma and they wouldn't insure an under 30 year old with a 1000cc but i tried aami and got an alright deal with them at $1280pa agreed value of $9000, but i would try swann insurance too as i heard they are really good too but i have never got a quote with them.good luck with finding one:wave:

Definately try Western QBE.

I just insured my 2006 DR-Z400 Super Motard with them for $655/year. I'm only 22 and on my bike learners.

Obviously a Gixxer will be more but I reckon you could get it for well below $2k.
