Hey all
last week I kept walking past a devil yellow Monaro GTO parked outside the UTS on Broadway (Sydney).
It had guard badges saying it was an S-500?
WTF is this, if anything? I wont be back for about 3 or so weeks but if its there next time I'll have a camera ready.
It looked like a GTO with different rims, Harrop brakes from memory but thats about it.
Is it a genuine release or is this just a GTO someones had modified after market and theyve also added their special badges??
I'm pretty sure it's a Starr Performance package. Supposedly 500hp, bigger brakes, etc...
Not all that flash apparently. My mate (with his 295rwkw Sonny-worked VY SS) left that yellow GTO for dead one night. :)
Cheers,
- Febs.

Assuming the driver was "actually" giving it 100% of course....

I had that car in my yard a few weeks ago, I think the owner is a long time customer of ours. Apparently it is a supercharged 6.somthing cast iron block thingy. I will find out more when it is in next. Sounds good tho.

It reminds me of a Yellow Monaro that visited a building site we were working on in 2005 at Potts Point that sounds the same, a yellow supercharged early model Monaro with Starr badging like that.
Just to set the scene here (a little OT) we have a 25+ storey building being refurbed in the 'Cross (The building above the Coke sign).
There is one access point to the whole site- a tiny narrow one way lane that is chock full of delivery vans (because there is also a Coles Supermarket dock in the tiny lane way) as well as trucks delivering and taking away plant, materials and equipment for our job. It's as busy as Pitt Street in peak hour.
This guy rocks up like and swaggers out like he owns the place, not only parking in the middle of the lane way blocking the trucks coming in and trying to get out (grid lock and horns and tempers flaring) but he was also stopped right across the gate of this site (the only way in or out).
The guy on the forklift (unloading palettes from said trucks) had to be restrained from using it to pick this thing up and f%cking it off.
Any way this goose could not be found anywhere inside- he must have pissed off up the lift to do something or see someone.
Apparently he left his keys in the ignition and once that was noticed there was a scuffle amongst a group of heavy sweaty irate truckies and tradesmen to be the first in to move this thing- not because it was a supercharged Monaro but becuase the f#ckin' thing was blocking about 20 truckies on deadlines!
To top it off when this guy came out eventually hewas ropable because someone moved his precious car :cussing:
Can you believe what some people do :soap:
