Fuel gauge reading

Ok quick one for ya's. My fuel gauge is at around the 1/4 mark with the computer saying 90 odd k's till empty. Problem is the computer also says ive only used around 40lt. So that means with 35lt left i only get 100ks that doesnt sound right does it?
Any ideas on this?

Holden fuel gauges can be notoriously inaccurate - do a search on 'fuel gauge' and you will find quite a few threads. I found in my VY and VZ that when the trip computer showed 0km left I could only get about 65 litres in and from what I've read on here that seems pretty typical.

Not that I ever got mine right done to 0km to go, but often took it to say 40km to go and could only get say 60 litres in, which worked out about right for 65 litres at 0km to go.
