Well today I had my car in at MCE for the new 4into1 pacemakers and 3" situpstraight cats to be fitted replacing my HSV extractors and HSV cats. Now I am a fan of the HSV pipes as when they went on I had a nice gain over the standard manifolds so I wasn't expecting a big gain but had to change them in readyness for the cam on friday.
Well I rocked up to pick up my car and as soon as I turned the key I thought Fark I'm in the wrong car,it now has a nice deep WRX type idle.I then took off up the road expecting a bit of mid range doughyness but it just wasn't there the new pipes are awesome from idle onwards with a massive difference in high end rpm's ,the car just revs alot smoother and easier. All in all I would put it as one off my best mods so far it has made the car drive alot smoother and nicer .
Also note it sits as high as the HSV set up if not higher giving no ground clearence issues.

Downside:My car now sounds like a V8 supercar it is very loud it sounds beautiful but will be too loud for day to day as when you get up it people will hear you from 10 blocks away, lucky I kept the resinator I took off.

Thanks heaps to Terry for your honust advice and immaculate install, I noticed some nicely installed heat sheilding around power steering etc.Anyone contemplating 4into1's just do it especialy if you have HSV extractors, and if you are in Perth MCE is as good as it gets.

Daz,

If its louder than it was before, its pretty loud. If it makes YOU think about quietening it down, then it must be bloody loud indeed!!!

Cam too... man you will have to quiten it down. It will get even louder then!

The guys out at MCE are bloody awesome, perfectionists. They did my full custom twin 3" on my Maloo, sounded insane. Its still floating around with links... go here for some pics and a vid.
