Opinion On Wheels For My Vx Clubby

:cussing: Hi guys i would like your opinion on wheels for my vx r8 clubby. I have 19"
vy senator signiture wheels at the moment as i dont think they look tough enough for my liking as they stand out to much with the silver colour as i think shadow chrome would look better. I would like to go for 19" vx gts, or 19"vz gto, or 20" deep dish black rims with a polish lip to bring out the red thats sting red. I have my ride in the my ride section its on page 3 under my vx r8 clubby. This is the first time that i cant make up my mind in years as i want something different for a change but my favourite wheels of all time are the 19"vx gts wheels as i had them before on my white vt calais and they looked tough as its on my ride section aswell please give me your thoughts thanks guys hope to hear from someone or if someone can email some pics of your ride with some interesting wheels at aborovina@netspace.net.au.

I have the same car in the same colour and have been thinking hard about what rims to get. I've never owned a red car before, and its not been an easy decision. Actually I had a lightbulb moment down in my parking lot the other day, looking at the heavy tints I have, black or shadow chrome rims would really work well, I just need to find the right style. I want enough space to show off my new brakes and slotted discs. Agree that a nice polished lip is the way forward.

Try a search for Koya race tek, and Speedy Octane black on the forum. These are just a couple I had in mind.

The other choice I was thinking was verde madonna's in chrome, but I don't want to turn it into a bling mobile, and the black will be subtle but classy. I haven't seen a stock rim in the HSV or holden range that I like, they all look pretty ugly to me sorry ;)

Go VZ Senator's they look great on a Red Clubby;) Here's a Pic of My
old VYII Clubby with them on. I now have them on My Black Adventra & they look fantastic on it to.

There is a red VY Clubby that I see parked around the corner from my house regularly and he has painted his VY Gts rims real dark grey ( same as optional FPV Typhoon rims only they're flat grey rather than a glossy metallic grey) looks shit hot.....maybe an option.

Thanks guys for your thoughts and pics and i made my mind up and i will get a set of 19" vx gts wheels and red wall the tyres in red and trade my fatspokes in. The vx gts wheels have been my favourite wheels of all time which will really suit the body shape of a vx clubby and the colour sting red i will post some pics when done.

I really like the VZ R8, repainted in shadow chrome - just put them on yesterday :)

Very nice really suits the car and the red paint love the ss wagons.
