Didnt see this coming so soon, apparently a whole shipment is heading over already

If ya can find the link to the original post rather than the one about brittercars showing interest in the statement then i dont beleive that this is a repost...

anyway it could be named more on the lines of VXR8 with the R8 highlighed in read, have a look at the pic in the link rather then vx - R8

Wonder if they'll just send the HSV version this time, and not the cheaper Holden 'base' version as well. I know VXR Monaros made up most UK Monaro sales.

The VXR8 did come up in a thread about a month ago. It did say that it would be sold as an official Vauxhall model.
Now for something new to add to that previous thread...The GRIFFIN badge is coming to the UK....! Not sure if that will be the badge going on an SS-V though.

VXR8 is a HSV supplied vehicle, with standard HSV drivelines. You sure that 414hp isn't the FLYWHEEL horsepower, as that's about our 307kW local model.....?

Personally I really don't care that much until the "official" launch occurs. You can all froth at the mouth if you like until then...
The carscoop story states that the VXR8 will be fitted with a 419HP (307kW) 6.0 litre engine, using the link mentioned several posts above!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Since the VXR8 is the PREMIUM model (hence the more powerful) you and your buddy just need to lay back and rest with a nice valium or two......
There is a possibility that a limited edition supercharged model will be released, POSSIBLY using the "GRIFFIN" badge I mentioned earlier, but NOT regular SSV models. 414rwhp is then definitely possible.

As you can see from the carscoup site the info on "vxr8" came from the HSV Drivers Club Forum site www.hsv.org.uk ........

The uk will get "ONE" model the "vxr8" which is a Clubsport R8 with the addition of GTS seats.

I have the press release which is not to be released until Monday but it has little to add to what we already know......
