V8 Supercars G-forces???

Went for ride in the K2 car with RICK KELLY at Phillip Island the other day it was awesome..
Just wondering what g-forces do the drivers go through????

Nothing compared to even Top Doorslammer drivers.....

4.7 G on launch

6.4 G when the chutes pop at 240 mph
from 240 to about 110 mph in a second and a bit

up to 2.7 G lateral when the mongrel thing tries to kiss the wall.

Just some observations from 12 months data from a TD team...

A V8 racer will brake at around 2-2.5 time the force of gravity and can generate around 1.5gs of cornering grip. But that is nothing compared to Formula One, where braking is done at up to 5gs and cornering is around 4gs.
