Mate use the search button before asking the most asked questions on this forum and please be aware that you don't post the same thread three times as that's not on.

Like I said USE the search button and you will find this site to be full of information and some great people.

Dane.

PJT, welcome to the forum:wave:

Now that your here, a few "housekeeping" issues.

1. The search function is your friend, as are the sticky's at the top of each forum section. If you look DIRECTLY above your thread you'll see the answer to your question.

2. Please don't post the same thread more than once, you will notice you have had threads deleted already......

3. If you have questions that you can't find the answers to in the FAQ, Sticky's or Forum Help section then click the "Contact Us" link at the bottom of the page in the blue toolbar and a Moderator will assist you as soon as one is a available (be a little patient as we are not always on the forum).

Hope this clears things up for you a little, we have a great community here and there is ALOT of information at your finger tips, you just need to look for it!

Once again welcome to ls1.com.au, hope you enjoy your stay!

Problem is if we start that then users PM box will be full of reminders like that!

That's why the term "Frequently Asked Questions" was coined...........

When you buy a new product you read the instructions.....its the same thing here I guess.

That's why the site has Moderators, to assist the new guys and keep the grumpy old ones from biting off their heads!! It's REALLY easy for us all to forget what it was like when we first joined the forum.

this really is an unfriendly site at times
the site i moderate in the uk we get asked the same questions day after day, yes it does get boring and yes we have a FAQ
we just find it easlier to give the answer there asking , by the time it takes you to write USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION you could have just posted the link.
you have to remember some people aint as clued up on pc's/internet as others

I have to fully agree with you on that. If you can point the person in the right direction why not do it?? Instead of making them feel like a tool for asking a simple question...

BTW welcome to the forum :) you are sure to come across some pretty nice people on here and lots of info.

I don't think that it's a case of "it's easy to forget what it was like"but more a case of "shit flows down hill" as perhaps that's how it was when they first joined!

Just my opinion.

Exactly, good response, Everyone starts somewhere.
Even "Use the Search function" can be put more diplomatically.
Some of the responses just appear arrogant.

Yes, for some of these posters, you will see your posts removed if I see them in time.

and in voodoos defence, half these questions are answered a minimum of once a day ... with so many of these threads around, the MOST SIMPLE search will yield an answer ... but your right, lets add 1 new thread a day to the ever growing collection of "how do i get validated, or post pix, or etc etc"

So that's your trick in getting more posts than anyone else:lmao: :lmao: :lmao: Nice

I also think there should be some sort of courtesy PM for all new members, `cos as others have said it's probably not the easiest forum to find your way through initially (especially for us less PC competent fools). With that said, I personally find it quite easy to use now but some things take time. The new members are our future:teach:  :merry:

cheers

yeh i agree. Sometimes if your in a thread and dont wanna read 100 pages of ramble...its easier just to ask....isnt that why we're here??? I do understand its annoying to answer the same questions day in day out (i use to be an admin/mod of another forum) but thats why we do the job, to inform ppl and moderate sh!t filtering thru the forums.
I dont think saying to someone EVERY SINGLE TIME they ask a ques you have heard before to "use the search button". I mean you spent the time posting back telling him to use the search button, why couldnt you of easily said.....
"hows it going mate, well to answer your question....blah blah blah....but yeh in future if your looking for more info on it or want to see anyone elses opinions please use our search button, it'll get heaps of info your looking for. Hope ive helped."

A lot different then saying "use the seach button". Thats helpful lol lol :P
