Hi

Thinking about getting a car alarm installed and have been researching the net for information as I have never had an alarm. One thing that I have seen and makes sense to me is an expensive alarm is worthless without a quality install.

I am after suggestions for an installer in Perth that does "stealth" car alarm installations. Suggestions for brands etc will also be appreciated.

TIA

what do you mean by "stealth" car alarm???

anyway, i use the guys that own place called Audio Image.
They are north of the river and in the balcatta commercial area.
they do alarms, car stereos, custom everything......

they are gonna do the alarm system on my SSV when it gets here.
Currently the best option is the Dynamco option.
installs neatly and very factory like.
AutoWatch also have a system out too.

these guys do both and others i think so call them or pop in and see them.
Best guys to talk to are Dom or Phil.

I agree, Dynamco seems the best option at the moment. WA Auto Electrics also install these and have a mobile service, so they can come to you.

what do you mean by "stealth" car alarm???

I am refering to the quaility of the alarm install. A quality installation of a car alarm would cost around $500 minimum from what I read about on the net. This includes hiding the brains of the alarm somewhere not easily accesible like behind the dash. Meaning the dash has to be removed in the install hence the price. Plenty of other tricks are used in a "stealth" install all in an effort to make the car harder to steal. An alarm that is wired in under the dash or behind the front kick panel is worthless.

I was quoted $400 for an autowatch car alarm including installation and from the little that I have read on the net I would be better saving the money for my excess when the car gets knocked off.

I will give the guys you suggested and see if they think I am just plain :werd:
