Hi all,

I am looking at upgrading my VS and joining the LS1 club. Just wondering what the main differences are between Calais and SS. The Calais I have seen has a body kit and climate control (which I understand does not come standard on SS).

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

The choice is fairly simple - the luxury 'sleeper' look with associated insurance savings of a Calais, versus the overtly sporty look and lesser comfort specifications of the SS. Of course, if you prefer a manual, then the SS is the only option between the two.

Powerwise - similar between the two, both can be modified to the same extent.

There have been several threads on this comparison recently, try a search and you'll find more info.

Cheers,

Macca

Yeah IMO go the Calais for a auto..
and the SS for a manual...

Calais may not look sporty but still look classy and more features than the SS for a cheaper price (Calais have some serious depreciation problems)

SS is sporty with alot of features but I only would consider them in Manual form...

reallly its up to you...

to compare features on the models try www.redbook.com.au

do a vehicle comparison it really puts the extras in perspective (black and white that it)
