Gday, Anyone know of where I can get that stuff that goes on the underside of the bonnet to stop heat from stuffing your paint up?

Holden is no good as it is for my VK......some of the young blokes in there look at you blank almost when you say VK!!!

Thanks

Try rare spares at Homebush or Beverley Hills, they would be the most likely avenue for genuine parts.

Rare Spares Beverly Hills
478-480 King Georges Rd,
Beverly Hills NSW 2209
Ph: (02) 9502 1030
Fax: (02) 9502 1030

Rare Spares Sydney
213 Parramatta Road,
Homebush NSW 2140
Ph: (02) 9746 1188
Fax: (02) 9764 4106

I suspect that the VK being 22 years old might make getting a genuine part from ANYWHERE very unlikely.

Best option after that would be the stick on sound deadening stuff as used in car stereos.

Good Luck.

Maybe you could go to a couple of wreckers. There's a massive yard out near Quakers Hill (but can't remember the name sorry).

The standard stuff is only to absorb noise. Has nothing to do with protecting the paint. You can get aluminium skinned stuff for heat reflection, but seriously, a car parked in the sun gets way hotter than some engine bay heat.
