View Full Version : TBA throttle body - Pics are up
We fitted a Throttle Bodies Australia t/b to JT's engine last night. Bolt off bolt on. No laptop:teach: The throttle response was orsome and picked up 7rwkw. Same night, same air(no grog:p ). Bloody grouse units. Thanks TBA for a well presented product that works. (horne bit of gear). Will get JT to reply with his thoughts. Cheers Chev

Chev,
Can you send me some info on the TBA products for the LS1's please to this email address - jross@arach.net.au!
If you don't have anything that can be sent via email, i've sent a pm that has my home address.
I've emailed TBA ages ago for info, but they have ignored me!
Thanks
Justin

Evening Justin. Ring me at the shop in the morning on 03 97768833 and I will get my secretary(Glenda) to email you some details on this grouseT/B. They are finishing a TB for PWR and I hope for Harrop. I need to speak to the boys when I finish all my booked in work. Chev

evening chev, ive told darren ( the guy with the clubby the same color as yours) about these and when you do his edit you might have to put one on his car, can you do back to back runs for him with and without this tb and with otrcai and then two hole mod airbox and your gts pipe and boot ?
by the way the shudder is gone from the brakes in my limo so thanks again for machining my discs at very short notice

Good to hear that the brake shudder has gone. No dramas in doing back to back dyno runs. We did the same last night on JT's SS. Need him online to give his unbiased opinion.
ok,my thoughts on the TBA are, huge improvement in throttle response,a much more pleasureable drive(and lots of fun)

Suprise suprise suprise. After having one of these fitted to my car and doing a few dyno runs. The car made more power and the throttle response was great, a marked improvement over stock. TBA also have a web site.
There are quite a few guys on here that have them are very happy and impressed with the results they got.

I was in the TBA workshop yesterday and DAMN they have some nice stuff there. Hopefully they might post up some pic's of their other products soon as they are just as impressive as the TB's (they do a lot more than just throttle bodies)

If they post up some pictures of their LS1 stuff, this would be awesome. Their site is pretty bloody boring, doesn't explain much at all, very limited!!!
I asked for information from them to be sent to me & nothing still. i emailed them about 2 months ago. Great customer service there!

OhOHOh that looks horne Chris. That t/b will match perfectly to my new otrcai:yahoo: With a little more boost(complements of a smaller pulley, thanks Ken & Damien) 2 bar tune=Bloody ripper:thumbsup:

Chev, it has twin turbo's (big ones), V8 Supercar diff, brakes bigger than most ppls rims and a nice big LS1 up front... all in a hotrod body. Once its done im pretty sure its going to outpower and outdrive almost any car on the road.

Ill have to introduce Chev to a pressure cleaner and some degreaser for these engine bays :stick:Also why do a TB mod yet you dont have extractors yet. I would have thought the basic bolt-ons would come first. (just a question, dont shoot me :) )
Hopefully my 90mm TBA and Ported LS2 manifold is on the barge now.. Cant wait!
