Took my car to the shops...

Walked out and above my right rear tail light my baby has been keyed down to the bare metal about 4 inches :(

Yes I know it is only a car and yes I know it could of been worse, but I do not care it is the fact of the matter that some ar*ehole went out of his/her way just to do malicious damage to my baby.. I am sick to death of this sh*t this is the 2nd time someone has done something to my car since I got it.

I am off to have a smoke and a stiff drink now :cussing: :cussing: :cussing: :cussing:

These days... no car is safe.
Regardless of how hard you try to keep your car perfect.. theres always that one person who accidently or deliberately does something to your pride and joy.

Im just waiting for the day when somebody will key mine. I might just give him/her a taste of their own medicine..

Sorry to hear about this, but you did make a large mistake - YOU TOOK IT TO A SHOPPING CENTRE!!!!! Doesn't excuse the scumwad for keying your baby though.

yeah man this sort of s*&t really frustrates me. If I caught anyone doing that to my car or even if I observed them doing it to another car, I would give them keyhole surgery that they wouldn't forget.

Yeah gotta say I hope if it happens to me that I dont catch them, my future will be much better off.
Only positive thing I can say is what goes around comes around.

Sorry to hear mate, heartbreaking.

Needless to say, black bewty went in for a respray and looked even better after that. Still sucks tho.

Errm for those who did not realise Belz is a she (Kelly), hence the term 'Mate' is probably NQR.. lol Soz just had to say that.

Anyway thats really poor form on behalf of those kids. Most younger kids I see actually stop in their tracks when they see a new HSV and drool. They
must have been rotten little sh@$'s!

Got a quote yet for repair?

Cant you take it further, get the video, speak to police.
I'm a firm believer that the parents of kids like these should be invoiced for the damage and should be made to pay for the damage caused
I'm sure the kids would then get a nice back hander from the parents.
Our society has lost all sense of accountability which I'm a big fan of.

These kids who graffiti or damage things should
1. get a good butt kicking
2. the parents should be made to pay for the damage.

I know if my parents would have killed me if they had received some sort of bill for damages i'd caused somewhere in society or to someones property.

Belz - that sucks.

Had a wagon keyed at a shopping centre a couple of years back - from the middle of the tailgate to the headlight, down to the metal.

I feel your pain.

Yeah, sure it can be repaired, but it's not the point.

Hope the little ****tards get what's coming to them. Sooner rather than later!

Oh Kel! :(

Have you been able to find out anything about these little $hit$ yet? Here's hoping you'll be able to track them down from the footage and/or with help from the locals. Kids like this tend to stand out from the crowd don't they ;)

WHEN you have their details (and/or their parents details) you'll be able to advise your insurance company and they'll sue them for the repair costs.

I am full of optimism today.

SS :)

Plan B? Let's not go there...just yet ;)

I agree, but I just cant stand it when women call me mate - it's just wrong!!!!

And I hate it when guys call women they don't know "Darl", "Honey", "Sweetie" and "Love". My old boss used to respond to people who called him "Mate" with "I'm NOT your Mate" and then instantly turn on his heel and stride away with that big pole still stuck tightly up his...

Problem is that the parents are often part of the problem. Last week my wife went with her parents to see a show at Burswood. When they got back to the car someone had parked and left their car in the side of the front bumper pushing it in. The driver arrived back at the same time. When they confronted him and asked for his drivers license he just hopped in his car and drove off. Fortunately the bumper just popped back out again, but that is not the point. The point is he just couldn't give a stuff!!!:cussing: That is what kids learn from their parents. The license number was taken down, but not much point in pursuing the issue as there wasn't any damage. If there was he would have heard about it through the police.

It will be the whole panel. As it is only that small panel at the back above the tail light. You know the one? I will take a pic and show you.http://images.cainer.net//uploads/P301000911.jpg

Its a shame to see, but thats what happens when you take a nice car to any where and leave it in public unattended.

I have more than one car and the LS1 is ONLY used for driving.

I know Im probably going to get an answer like thats my only car etc etc, way I look at it, you can afford a 50K plus car, you can afford a shitter.

We have a shitter and there is no way I am driving that around. I got my car to enjoy not to lock in the garage and use on weekends, and no little shit doing this will stop be from enjoying it. Hey if you can spend 60+k on a car you can afford to get it repaired...

Not at all ;) But sometimes I do call people "mate"...

I worked with a woman behind the bar and she called EVERYONE "bub" - that's just lazy.

Quite like it when people say "friend". Maori's tend to use this alot and I heard it regularly when I lived in New Zealand. I don't know whether Aussies could get away with this one!

But we digress

i had a VT ss a while ago and everytime i took it to the shop it come back with all sorts of marks and scratches so i stoped taking it, i started taking my old ute in its place but people kept stealing it. I had it stolen 5 times in 3 weeks, it must have been the same people doing it each time because the police kept finding it in the same place about 5ks from the shop with broken windows, stuffed ignition, slashed tyres etc. In the end i found it cheaper to just drive the commodore and get it fixed every 6 months.

Very sorry to hear about your damage-I suppose you could be thankful it wasn't a lot worse.
Some-one mentioned parents--more often then not, they're the cause of the problem!
Back hander?!!--Couldn't agree more--but that's not the way to "do it" these days is it!
Everybody talks about the "softly softly" approach these days don't they, well I reckon it's rubbish. You see examples of "out of control" children all the time on TDT & ACA--they just laugh at this approach. A mate of mine had a problem with kids--he caught them on one occasion, & tought them a lesson "the old way"--funny thing was,--they showed him plenty of respect after that--never had another problem--neither did any one else in the street!
Cheers, Pickles.
