Hi guys

Dad has been given first option on his mates original owner orange LC GTR (non XU1)

The thing is absolutely mint, has lowish kms but still fairly regularly used (which I prefer)

Its not an XU1 unfortunately, but is a low km original GTR still worth picking up and storing in the warehouse?

If so, what should i be paying?

cheers
Aidan

is this a trick question?????

a car like that you pretty much pay what the guy wants, how many low mint toranas do you see. the GTR badge alone, int original not NOS is worth a couple of bucks.

Hey mate

No not a trick Q! I know the XU1 is mega collectable but not too sure about the 'normal' GTR toranas....

Shes an absolute beautie...absolutely unmarked.

Just wondering whether the non-XU1 GTR will be a valuable thing in years to come, or whether its pretty much peaked now..?

well thats the thing

dads not actively looking for cars..this would be more an "opportunistic" purchase than anything else.

hes been eyeing it off for yrs and now its up for sale...

the car is obviously a great little part of Holdens history...

I say tell you old boy to buy it. even if it spends some time locked up and taken out to shows, holden days etc it will get a bit of publicity so further down the track when your old boy is itching to sell it there may be some prospective buyers.

like I said to the right person you can ask what you want for it. good luck.

BTW: Post some pics of it

Well GT’s and GTHO replica prices soared on the back of PH3/e49/XU-1/GTS’s soaring prices (hell even John Goss specials and Cobras) and they aren’t making any more of the damn things. Prices are a bit silly at the moment but even if there is a readjustment they will still continue to climb. If you were looking for a GTR Torana project would you rather pay a bit more for a nice example or less for a junker that you have to pour $ in to?

If you’re not going to buy it then please PM me the details.

im convinced!

if he is 100% sure on selling (seems to be a bit of sentimentality at present!) we will be snapping the old girl up
